The 7 airplanes on our Journey have varying speeds and range - speed isn't an issue, however, the airplane's range and pilot comfort is something we take seriously.
We are very conservative in planning our legs to accommodate the different aircraft. If additional fuel stops are necessary for certain aircraft, we will plan them.
Our first leg is 1,050 NM - at the max of some of the airplanes.
We have added an optional stop in Jamaica after our overflight of Cuba. This will add an additional country to our already 9 countries on the itinerary and with cheap Jet-A at around $1.42 per gallon, its a no brainer.
I, with the Citation Mustang, have opted for the stop in Jamaica.
